STEM WARS turns any environment into a high-tech learning zone, with all the tools necessary to deliver dynamic, interactive lessons on almost any science-related subject. STEM WARS combines a suite of audio-video presentation equipment, interactive student response and assessment tools, and hands-on, S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) -based activities and experiments, all designed to work together to create an one of a kind learning experience.
MUSIC PRODUCTION
Science of MUSIC!
Our STEM WARS Music Production Program is an industry-recognized outlet designed to introduce middle and high school students to the world of Recording, Radio, and Film. It is designed to train participants for careers as audio engineers or music producers, live music engineers, DJs, or beat makers and to give them the opportunity to break into the industry by helping you gain hands-on experience and connections. From production to engineering to hip-hop and other genres, our hands-on approach provides participants an opportunity to work directly with accomplished industry professionals in our fully-equipped mobile recording studio.
DRONES
Take Flight!
Explore the thrill and excitement in one of technology’s fasting growing industries. All programs include real-life present day and future application. This activity will introduce students to the evolving world of unmanned aircraft operations. They learn how Drones are being used in today's world. Students will be introduced to Drones operations through classroom instruction and actual flight operations. Students will progress through various skills challenges and learn how to perform exercises and maneuvers to become familiar with the drone's speed and agility. Students will use tablets, phones and remote controls to navigate the drone through short and long obstacle courses.
ROBOTICSÂ & CODING
Learn by DOING!
A future in coding begins here. It's all about the 1s and 0s, discovering how coded instructions are executed directly by a computer's CPU. Engineer and build epic remote-controlled robots, then learn how to program the robot to run autonomously. Students will program a robot to navigate a maze, escape danger with sonar and touch sensors, lift obstacles out of the way, and launch projectiles at targets. They’ll solve challenges and learn to use a variety of sensors such as the color, ultrasonic, touch and gyro sensor on the robots. Along their discovery journey they develop critical thinking and team building skills, basic STEM application, and even presentation skills.
